The way David's powers worked is that he could absorb the accumulated skills and knowledge of anyone within range. He lost that after his X-Gene went dead, but thanks to the Cuckoos he does retain anything he had absorbed in the past.
Pretty much anyone in the X-Men who wasn't dead at the time is a safe bet, but I'm willing to be flexible. If there's anything you'd like to have left out or at least left unmentioned, this post is here to discuss it.
